What is LENS?
LENS Neurofeedback is considered “non-traditional” neurofeedback, also called EEG Biofeedback. It is based on electrical brain activity, where our computerized system speaks directly to the brain. This communication is similar to holding a mirror up to the brain and allowing it to “see itself”. Once the brain is presented with this new information it will make necessary changes using what is referred to as neural-plasticity. LENS works to lift suppression in the brain allowing the brain to be more flexible and function at a higher level.
What makes LENS different from other forms of neurofeedback?
Each client’s EEG signals are unique to them and constantly changing. The LENS measures these ever-changing signals of the client and matches the feedback to the client’s own physiological (neurological) fingerprint.
How Does LENS work?
LENS works to lift suppression in the brain allowing the brain to be more flexible and function more optimally. LENS Neurofeedback helps the brain to develop new neural pathways, to get “unstuck” from repeated patterns.
LENS can help with an array of issues such as:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Motivation
-
Pain
-
Fatigue
-
PTSD and SO much more.
Neurofeedback provides a nice integrated approach to counseling to help alleviate many symptoms of emotional stress and trauma. It helps the brain to self-correct and allows the client to develop new ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling so that you can be your best self.
